Wooooo~ My two Overman King Gainer DVDs arrived today.
Which i then watched XD non stop, all 10 episode contained upon them.
Damn but it was fun - not particularly deep, and not a helluva lot of character drama yet, but DAMN was it fun. ^-^
got Freedom Force vs the Third Reich working yesterday. played it for seevral hours.
Today... it seems to be not working again. hum. A problem indeed indeed.

Mainly 'cuz the fuckign cd-validation thing fucks up (at least i assume it's this fucking up, could be the game itself) and forces my pc to reboot.

I'm pathetic because, at present, my most interesting activity is watching ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92.2) eslington like a hawk. Just wiating for himm to use his LJ avatar of Ellen from El Goonish Shive, *just* so i can pop up in his comments and yell "I know where your icon is from at last! Uwahahahaha!"
Yeah, i recently got introduced to EGS http://elgoonishshive.com/ and powered through the archives in the space of about... less than a day total XD non-stop. and the filler archive too. As well as the NP archive. BY GAWD I LOVE IT! It earned itself a permanent place in my bookmarks at about the same time Tedd first unveiled his love of gender-transformations.
In other notes, i got me a copy of the new Freedom Force game, and i also got addicted to a demo (GASP! The first actual game demo i've installed in, like, almost three years now) of a game called 'Fire Captain'. It's an RTS... but it's to the RTS genre what a raging forest fire is to an electric stove. And the analogy is apt, given it's about you controlling your little squads of firemen (and vehicles) to put out fires.
And i don't mean little fires.
In the demo mission i got, an entire mall gets set alight pretty much XD and you've gotta wade your men in to put out the flames, keep them from spreading and rescue civilians. Whilst simultaniously dealing with other catastrophes that occur o.o It's a pretty hard game actually, requiring a fair amount of pausing and planning since these fires can spread out of control if you're not careful. Also there's smoke to worry about - which chokes your men, and also the dangers of backdrafts to worry about.
And this is only one freaking mission with the basic firemen and vehicles (pumping engines and a ladder engine) o.O i hate to think what a full late-game mission would be like. Unfortunately no release date yet ;.; pity. i so want this game.

So yesterday i was raning to one or two people about americans and their guns.
Admittedly i got there from the subject of video-game violence, after reading a known persecutor in such cases (uh, persecuting the video-game companies that is).
So in this interview he attempts to link kids blowing each other apart to the fact that they may have played a possibly violent videogame at some point in their lives. Which is, pretty much, what all anti-videogame people try to do with unfortunately high levels of success.
Anyway, talk soon shifted to underage gun crimes in general.
Well here i am wondering why none of these official people have worked out how to stop underage kids shooting each other with guns.
I mean, it's bloody simple.
Don't let the little fucks get ahold of guns in the first place.
I mean, really.
PS: Can anyone quote to me the american second amendment? I think it goes something like:
'A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.'
In which case, fuck, hundreds of american citizens should be arrested for violating it. I mean look at the second two words 'Well Regulated'. Letting underage people getting ahold of arms is not what i would call 'Regulated' in any sense of the word.
Okay. Rant over.
